ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification)

It is an independent multi-stakeholder initiative and leading certification system that supports sustainable, fully traceable, deforestation-free and climate-friendly supply chains. With their certification, they contribute to environmentally, socially and economically sustainable production. This encompasses sustainable agricultural biomass, biogenic residues and waste, non-biological renewable materials and carbon-based recycled materials.

VCS (Verified Carbon Standard)

It is the most widely used greenhouse gas (GHG) accreditation program in the world. It directs finances towards activities that reduce and eliminate emissions, improve livelihoods and protect nature. VCS projects have reduced or eliminated more than one billion tons of carbon and other GHG emissions from the atmosphere.

GS (Gold Standard)

It was established in 2003 by WWF and other international NGOs to ensure that projects that reduce carbon emissions have the highest levels of environmental integrity and also contribute to sustainable development. With the adoption of the Paris Climate Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals, a best practice standard for climate and sustainable development interventions, Gold Standard for the Global Goals, was launched to maximize impact and create value for people in everyone and the planet we share.

2BSvs (Biomass Biofuel Sustainability Voluntary Scheme)

The French 2BSvs certification scheme is related to sustainable biomass production. It is especially relevant for biofuel and biogas producers (methanization) and their suppliers, such as traders and cooperatives, with regard to raw materials of organic origin, including agricultural and forestry products. According to the RED II Directive (which recognizes it), 2BSvs certification allows the sale of biomass, biofuel or sustainable biogas. The 2BSvs scheme is usually less expensive and easier in several respects than comparable schemes.

Bonsucro

Bonsucro was born from the Better Sugarcane Initiative, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the environmental and social impacts of sugarcane production. Bonsucro aims to ensure that current and new sugarcane production, as well as all sugarcane-derived products, are produced sustainably, through 'Standard Setting' and 'Certification'

RTRS (Round Table on Responsible Soy Association)

The Responsible Soy Roundtable is a civil organization that promotes the responsible production, processing and trade of soybeans globally. According to the Round Table philosophy, actors from different areas and with diverse interests obtain equal rights and come together for a common purpose, thus ensuring dialogue and decision-making by consensus. The RTRS Standard for Responsible Soy Production is applicable globally and ensures that soy production is socially equitable, economically viable and environmentally sustainable.

RFA (Rainforest Alliance)

It certifies that the ingredients used in a product come from sustainable methods that cover social, economic and environmental aspects, with external and independent audits that guarantee compliance with these requirements. Focused on protecting forests, mitigating climate change, defending human rights and strengthening sustainable livelihoods for rural communities, its standards promote responsibility in agricultural production, generating tangible benefits for both farmers and environment.

ISO (International Organization for Standardization)

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard ISO 14064 provides guidelines for measuring, reporting and verifying greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and their reductions. Used by public and private organizations to manage climate impacts, the standard contributes to the mitigation of climate change. ISO 14067, on the other hand, establishes principles and guidelines to quantify and communicate the carbon footprint of products, services or projects, allowing informed decisions to reduce the carbon footprint and improve environmental performance.

CAR (Climate Action Reserve)

It is the most trusted, efficient and experienced carbon offset registry for global carbon markets. A pioneer in carbon accounting, the Reserve promotes and encourages the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through credible market-based policies and solutions. As a high-quality offset registry for voluntary carbon markets, it sets rigorous standards involving the development of multi-sector working groups and local participation, and issues carbon credits in a transparent and publicly available system. The organization also supports compliance carbon markets in California, Washington, and internationally.
